I just tested Bing.com vs Google.com on a TenleyTown.net search!

I was prompted to look for a community portal that HelpEarth Foundation runs called TenelyTown.net. On Bing.com It looks like Bing bends over backwards to not give a searcher information about it.  Since this is a top level domain and it is contextually relevant to people searching for anything about TenleyTown let alone putting the whole url in the search box there has to be some kind of exclusion of this domain from it's search results.

What kind of search engine can't find a Top Level Domain?  How is that even possible.

I also did the same thing for Google.com and they seem to do a pretty good job finding the information about the site which is what you would expect.

I'll ask someone I know at MS about this and see if they have an explanation and post it back here. Hey, if you have one please leave a comment on the blog about what you think is happening.

PS Goes to show that having more than one source of information is always a good thing.
